Kate Avery: Hi, I'm Kate! A former couch potato-turned-long-distance runner and hiker, I grew up "hating" all things exercise. In 2011 I accidentally fell in love with hiking and then eventually running the following year. Since 2012 I've ran close to 10,000 miles, hiked 12 of Colorado's famous "14ers", completed over 20 full marathons and ultra-marathons including my first 100 miler in September 2017. I'm not fast, but I stick with it and get it done! If you're new to exercise and fitness, I hope to encourage you to stick with it - it just may change your life!
